Dehylicious

Dehilicious was a brand I developed for an assignment in which we had to come up with a healthy snack. As part of this project, I designed a logo, brand identity, and packaging. On this page, you will find my research and the final designs for this assignment. At the bottom, you will even find a short interview with me about this project.

The story behind Dehylicious

Q1: Why did you add stickers and fun facts?
"Our target audience is younger people, and I noticed that bananas often have little stickers on them. Stickers are something that many young people enjoy collecting or sticking on things, as a way of saying, ‘I was here.’ That's why they're a fun, easy, and free way to spread brand awareness.

As for the fun facts, I really like random facts myself. Many people look at the back of a package while eating, so I thought interesting facts would be a good way to grab their attention. Maybe they'll even talk about it, which is free advertising!"

Q2: Why did you choose these colors?
“I based the colors on the natural shades of the fruit, but made them a little brighter and fresher to create a bold and eye-catching look.”

Q3: Why did you choose dried fruit?
“I'm allergic to many types of fruit, unless they've been heated. Since most dried fruits are processed with heat, I can eat them. That's why I thought it would be a good idea to offer more dried fruit options, both for myself and for others with a similar problem.”

Q4: Why the name “Dehylicious”?
“It's a combination of ‘dehydrated’ and ‘delicious’ in one word, because dried fruit is delicious!”

Q5: How did you come up with the logo design?
“I wanted it to look fresh and modern, so I drew inspiration from trend boards during my research. They had a sleek, contemporary look that fit well with the vibe I wanted to create.”
